All in a college's life~~

1st time im late!!! Late for 30 minutes. That's the 1st time im late for school for 17 years. Well, everything has a 1st time, but the 1st time just because of Thaipusam and we even started early. Took off from the house at 7am, got to somewhere near Batu Caves at 7.15, going up the bridge at 7.15, but we got to the end of the bridge at 7.45. 30minutes jam for a 3 minute bridge. That wasn't the end thou, we were stuck for another 15minutes, the jam was getting a little better after the bridge, it took us another 15minutes to get to the billboard of a big car, then all was clear. I shouted "Finally!!" when we passed the sign~~ Then, when we went back, jammed for another 30minutes again... This time Tse Yau took pictures...

1st, we were caught in the jam, hoping we were on the other side.

Then, we were thankful we were on this side of the road~~

Well, rushed back to Pizza Hut, 2 person shared a large pizza. Then went off to learn driving. Today 3rd lesson, went to Sri Sinar to learn going up hill, it was really hard, engine died plenty of times because i was a little nervous. Now, I'm relaxing to "Party in the USA-Miley Cyrus" while typing it in my blog.

Summary :
1) 1st time late for school
2) Stuck for 1 hour at Batu Caves
3) 3rd driving lesson

1st time driving

It was a cloudy Tuesday, I came back at 3.45. Nobody was at home. Grrr~~ My stomach was growling, haih, didn't have a proper meal during break. Stuffed myself with some snacks, and I was ready.

I was calling and waiting and calling again. Scheduled time was 5, but the instructor came at 5.30 as he had problems finding my house. Fine it is, as long as I learn. He brought me to Menjalara, got down, and asked me to drive. I was like-okay~ then we started class. The car was... unique~ because the meters are faulty, and I'm making stupid mistakes all the way. Finally when it was time to go, he asked me to drive back. I remembered the convo :
Him : Ok, bong dai.(put on seat belt)
Me : Har?
Him : ji gei zha che fan(u drive back)
Me : Har, ngo giang wor( I scared wor)
Him : mm sai giang lar, zha lar(dun b scared, just drive)
Me : ok lorh.

For the rest of the drive I kept telling him that I was nervous. Until I reached home.

First week of college

Well, just finished 1 week of college. If you ask me to decribe my life these few days in college, I'll say "Fun, tiring, hectic". Yes, really, honestly.

Let me explain. The second day of college was the briefing of various different subjects. General Paper was first to come, and the lecturer was Ms. Jesswyna. I just catagorized her briefing into good news and bad news. Good news was that GP was a "give me your opinion" question, bad news was that it revolves around current issues (I hate reading newspapers). Too bad. Maths was next, I just payed attention to Mr Chang to get some info on Maths. Yes, I'm still interested in it, but I just don't want to cope with the pressure. Next came the topic I was most interested in-Law. Ms Mitra came in, said hi, and started briefing. The way she did it, I have to admit she has style~ I was determined to do it even though I knew it would involve plenty of memorizing work. Economy and Accounting was a little boring. Mr Ho gave us a nice brief on Business Studies. Then, we had a tour in the library in the afternoon. We have to put our bags down and have a student ID card to enter. It was quite large, 3 stories high, having 6 levels, books varying from textbooks to novels and even to VCDs and DVDs.

Class started on Wednesday, I followed Tse Yau's car as always. Lectures and tutorials were cool. I volunteered to be class representative for my class, AJ11b. I had always look forward to it. My assistant is Sue Jenn. First impression was that she was well behaved, polite. Well, she always offered me help whenever I needed it. As it was still the first day of lesson, most of my classmates still had problem finding thier way around. Thankfully, I can manage to recognise and became the group's GPS. Really enjoyed it. It was also on this day that I was told we had to come on the 2 coming Saturdays to replace the Chinese New Year holidays. Oww, there goes my plans to join this year's run.

Thursday was the day I started to recognise most of my classmates, besides recognizing potential competitor that will be set as a personal guideline. I have to thank Yan Yong for giving me motivation to perform as good as I could. The day was quite hectic, had to follow mum back because Tse Yau finished class earlier. I went to the driving school to confirm the date of the first driving lesson, scheduled on the 19th which is a Tuesday.

Today, was started a little late, maybe I'm getting exhausted of college life Nevertheless, it was still an interesting day. Much of the day involved listening and less speaking, and toady was the first day we met our GP lecturer, Mr Saabdev. He is a nice guy for now. Spoke to Jeffrey about joining SWC, he was smiling away, I think its a good choice since I would like to defend the rghts and welfare of TARCians.

Summary:
1) College life still rocks
2) Became Class rep
3) Trying to get into SWC

First day of college

Exhausting day at Jalan Genting Kelang today. TAR college was awesome, so awesome that it makes me speechless at times. Well, college life looks better than before now I have actually have a chance to experience it out. Started out the day too early because of insomnia, not an issue for me though, I was determined to have fun, nothing was to stop me.

After breakfast, I went over to Tse Yau's house, seems that both of us were quite eager to get into college.Wai Hoe and Siow Kuan arrived later, then we departed for college. The drive there was simple, clear roads all the way, even the weather was nice in a delightful way. Parking lot was empty when we arrived, so Tse Yau just took one which is near to the building.

I originally had thought that I would need to submit letters and forms to the admission department, but it was still closed by the time we arrived. So, I decided to look around, and I saw Mei Chi walking around with her brother. Had a 30-minute wait before we were asked to go into the hall. The event started with Terrence trying to start a conversation with us, but everybody seemed lethargic to answer him. Finally, I took my go and had fun having the microphone. The speeches were very a little "interesting" as Terrence had said. Then it was time for a break after all the speeches. I was already rushing to the CITC building with Tse Yau and Mei Chi to get our student ID card. This is what I got:

I did some editing to keep some personal details a secret. Managed to have time to get into the toilet before event starts, the toilet was as big as a classroom in secondary school.

Events were cool, but I'm just too lazy to go into details. Our facilitator for group 16 (Poland) was Cynthia(I hope I didn't spell it wrongly) and she was awesome. Met quite an amount of new friends there. Well, off to bed now, I'll do some editing when I have time.

Last day teaching~

Well, today is my last day as a teacher, was fun these few days. I have to thank the kids for the fun, especially my 1 Arif, and I've only knew them for 1 week. Too bad my phone aint got a nice camera to take any pictures. These few days were fine, all I did was "go to school, walk around, talk a lot, sit down, walk summore, carry things around, and go back", I think thats fairly easy compared to other teachers doing more than I was.

My first day-teaching

Today was an early day, I woke up at 7.15. Went up to school around 9.50.Fetched Steph with me, she had to return her books. I went up to see Pn Siti, then she was ok and all. Confirmed that I will be teaching the form 1. Saw quite an amount of people up there, too bad I left school early, 40minutes of recess time is fun. All was well and I went back up to school at 1. Tonnes were shocked looking at me in that shirt. All I could say was-LOL.I tried to help out but nobody needed me, and I thought I was important =). So I sat on stage with the other teachers, plenty of first times now~ After assembly I suddenly became class teacher for 1Arif, I dun think there are enough teachers even after including me.

1Arif was fun, I just went in the class, and suddenly I realized there wasn't any namelist, how am I supposed to take attendance if I don't have a namelist? There I went, running to the office for a piece of paper, then running back getting all wet with sweat. Went back into the class to settle the stuffs, attendance, fees and so on. Michelle even dropped by for a while, her hair was cool~ By the time everything was done, I just had enough time to give an IQ question before it was recess time. I didn't even have time to go for recess. Had to settle with a cup of corn and some water. Then the rascals kept telling me I was late for class. Well, I'll be on time from now on(if possible).

I didn't have a timetable set, and I didn't want to leave them without any teacher, so I decided to teach them Sejarah.I thought them Sejarah in a new way, I saw them laughing most of the time. I really hope they get the class, because if they dont, then it won't be worth it as my leg hurts because I had to stand for so long. Ahh, my throat is sore, my leg hurts, but I still enjoy this job and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

Thats all for now, bye!

1st day working as a teacher, and it wasn't easy.

Happy New Year!

2010 is here!! Had fun at orientation day on the 31st. I was so excited I woke up at 5.40 with a tummy ache LOL. Went to school on bike~~ was a leisure cycle because no parents sending thier kids up the school at 7 in the morning. Long time didn't cycle up that hill and I ended up pushing the bike up.

1st person I saw in school was Ong Wei Lam. I didn't expect him there but it wasnt something special, I guessed teacher needed him that much that he was called back to help. Walked around the school till I saw Pn.Low, then work was coming along. Saw Xin Yi, Ee-Leen and Qian Nee when we were having the briefing. Then we had to arrange the chairs, I think we arranged around more than 300 chairs around the assembly spot.Pn.Azlina and some of the other teachers were shocked to see me helping around. She even said "Eh, Gabriel, kelas form 6 belum start lagi lar", I just laughed my way through.

Matthew passed me the camera and asked me to take pictures, so I went around taking pictures and I saw Pn. Amalia holding a larger camera taking pictures too. So we asked En.Nasir to take a picture of us.

Then it was the speeches, then havoc started. Too many students got a D in BM and have to be put into remove class, problem was that our school had a lack of teachers and couldn't afford to open one. So, Pn.Azlina had to turn down around 20+ students and asked them to register at BSD2. Too bad for them. Then I had to get my copy of my school leaving certificate since I was going to register at TAR College that day. Unfortunately, the office hadn't have my copy done, so I had to wait for them to finish it. After everything was settled, I helped the team cleaning up all the chairs, tables, benches and stuff, then saw Sarah. I thought she was going to hold the treasurer position next year but it turns out she was moving to St.Mary. Pff, almost a year wasted to train her up, now have to get another one to replace.

Well, after that I just sat in the office waiting for my cert to be ready. Then, suddenly Pn.Siti came over and asked whether I was free for a week. I said I had some time, then she asked whether I could be a volunteer teacher in the meantime because the school lacked teachers for a week. So, I said "okay!". The experience was worth it since I would be wasting my time anyway. Went back home around 12.30.

I came back, had my shower and departed right away to TAR College. Stopped somewhere near Batu Caves to have lunch. Then arrived at TAR College at around 2.15. Went to the admission block to apply for admission. The funny thing was my dad had to walk to the bursary department to pay RM25 then walk back.
Why couldn't they just put a counter beside there to do all the procedures at one place? Wasn't for me to question that. We were told we had to wait 2 hours for the offer letter to come out. We had a walk to the School of Pre-University studies to do more enquiries. We kept asking the lady there, Ms Hong, a lot of questions, then talked, suddenly I realised that we talked for almost 2 hours. Then walked back to collect the offer letter. Yay, they accepted me =).

Then I spend the rest of the day in Ampang. Ahh, sadly didnt go for countdown with friends. Dad countdown at home, but nobody was in the mood, so he just poured himself some whisky and drank.Anyway, Happy New Year 2010!!

1) Went to school early to help out at orientation
